Bangkok Airways first began operations in 1968 as Sahakol Air and then in 1986 Bangkok Airways officially began its operations as the country’s first privately owned domestic airline. 2018 will be our 50th Anniversary. Today the airline operates a fleet of 39 aircraft from its home base Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport to more than 30 destinations across Thailand and Asia including Samui, Phuket, Sukhothai, Siem Reap (Angkor), Da Nang and the Maldives.
