 Singapore has a unique urban environment where nature and city life are intertwined. It is one of the greenest cities in the world and this can be seen from the abundant of green spaces and nature reserves which can be found around the city. Some highlights can be found below.

Gardens by the Bay – A visit to Singapore is not complete without visiting the beautiful Gardens by the Bay, with its two futuristic conservatories housing flora and fauna from the Mediterranean and mountainous regions. The majestic Supertrees are a delight to behold, especially when they come alive with the Garden Rhapsody light and sound show.

Singapore Botanic Gardens – Singapore’s first UNESCO Heritage site, the Botanic Gardens is a treasure trove for plant lovers and the perfect place for a picnic or jogging round the park. It is also home to the National Orchid Garden, where you can discover over 1000 species of beautiful, colourful orchids.

MacRitchie Nature Reserve – Part of the Central Catchment Reserve, the largest in Singapore, you can take an exhilarating hike at MacRitchie where you can encounter long-tailed macaque monkeys and monitor lizards. Enjoy a bird’s eye view of the lush forest at the Treetop Walk, a 250-metre free standing suspension bridge at the two highest points within MacRitchie.

Southern Ridges – comprising of 10km of green, open spaces that connects to other Park Networks, it is one of the best spots to enjoy panoramic views of the city. Make sure to head to the Henderson Waves, a unique wave-like structure and Singapore’s tallest pedestrian bridge.

Fort Canning Park – full of history and heritage, this tranquil park has a diverse spice garden, colonial monuments, sculptures and murals and heritage gardens.

Pulau Ubin – Step back in time to the 60s to this rustic island on the north-eastern corner of Singapore, where you will find shrines, swamplands and a rich intertidal ecosystem teeming with diverse wildlife. Explore on foot, bike or even kayak as you unwind and enjoy the simplicities of a bygone era.
